9am-11.15 Talking Mats

Talking Mats is a communication framework that supports people to have better conversations . This presentation will give an introduction to the framework. It will discuss both the potential uses in the work of a registered intermediary but also the challenges that may arise from using it in this context . It will be led by Lois Cameron Director of Talking Mats and Alison Matthews Director of Total Communication Services CIC and a Registered Intermediary who is also a licenced Talking Mats trainer

11.30-12.30 Introduction to Widgit Online

Learn how to create personalised symbolised resources to support your clients, using Widgit’s extensive symbol library and your own photographs.

The hour long session will include information on how to share resources with colleagues, within the group, and clients who do not have a Widgit Online account and will finish with a short question and answer session.

The fee for this 3.5 hour presentation is £3. We are keeping presentation fees as low as we can, but any additional donations are appreciated - donate here.
