We have an exciting day planned, with the full agenda to be released very soon. It will include full speaker biographies, presentation titles, and session timings. In the meantime, here's a preview of what you can look forward to:
- Aisa Shearing, Senior Restorative Standards Officer, Restorative Justice Council
- Letitia Duffus, a highly experienced criminal defence advocate specialising in serious and complex crime, who has also completed counselling training. Letitia has over 20 years of experience in criminal defence, having worked as a solicitor, solicitor-advocate, and now as a barrister.
'Intermediaries and the Defence: Enhancing Communication, Understanding and Participation in the Criminal Justice System.' Why intermediaries matter from a defence perspective, my experiences of working with intermediaries, good practice, challenges and tensions, the future – practical tips/ help going forward.
- Dr Anne-Marie Day, a Senior Lecturer in Criminology and youth justice researcher based in Centre for Crime and Youth Justice Research (CCYJR). She has a lot of experience as a practitioner and policy maker in a range of criminal justice roles and is a trustee at the Alliance for Youth Justice.

- Case presentation 'Seeing the Court Room Differently; The challenges and practical insights into working with visual impairment'. Emily O'Connor (RI, Speech and Language Therapist, Chairperson of RI Ireland) and Louise Evans (RI, Court Appointed Intermediary, Speech and Language Therapist and TiC Director)
- 'Mental Health and Intermediaries' Discussion Panel
