Course Content:
Experiential workshop designed to equip intermediaries with essential skills in emotion regulation and trauma-informed communication. Participants will explore mindfulness techniques and sensory integration practices to manage stress, enhance communication, and support vulnerable individuals in the criminal justice system.

Course Aims/Objectives:
- To equip participants with the foundational knowledge of emotion regulation and the impact of trauma on regulation and communication.
- To introduce effective mindfulness techniques and sensory integration practices for emotional regulation in legal environments.
- To practice trauma-informed communication strategies for use with vulnerable individuals participating in the justice system.
Course Method:
The workshop is run in the form of a small group training. The presenters will present information and will invite high levels of participation and sharing of knowledge and ideas. Prepared slides/handouts guide the process rather than impart information.
The follow up workshop is designed as a piece of reflective practice where participants can reflect on what they have learned and how they have applied their new knowledge to their practice.
